LEGENDS REBORN · SYSTEM GUIDE · UPDATED 28 SEP 2026
Composing: +1 to +12
Composing raises an item's bonus level, the + after its name. Every + makes the item stronger: more attack on a weapon, more defence on armour and helmets, and so on. The bonus grows with the item's own level, so a + on high-level gear is worth more than the same + on a beginner's item.
Updated 28 September 2026: composing now uses Composition Points, like the official game. Points left over after a level stay on the item for next time, until +12. At the +12 cap, any remaining points are cleared. Everything happens at the Wuxing Oven in the Market at (320, 224). Legends Reborn uses its adjusted +9 through +12 thresholds shown below.
Composition Points
Every item keeps the points it has built up towards its next +. Each minor item or +stone you use adds points; when the item has enough, it goes up a level and the rest carries on towards the level after.
| Level up | Points needed | Minor item or stone | Points it adds | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +0 → +1 | 20 | +1 | 10 | |
| +1 → +2 | 20 | +2 | 40 | |
| +2 → +3 | 80 | +3 | 120 | |
| +3 → +4 | 240 | +4 | 360 | |
| +4 → +5 | 720 | +5 | 1,080 | |
| +5 → +6 | 2,160 | +6 | 3,240 | |
| +6 → +7 | 6,480 | +7 | 9,720 | |
| +7 → +8 | 19,440 | +8 | 29,160 | |
| +8 → +9 | 58,320 | +9 | 87,480 | |
| +9 → +10 | 61,020 | +10 | 90,180 | |
| +10 → +11 | 66,520 | +11 | 95,680 | |
| +11 → +12 | 79,720 | +12 | 104,680 |
Example: a +1 bow needs 20 + 80 = 100 points to reach +3. A +3 stone adds 120, so the bow becomes +3 with 20 points already towards +4.
Materials add points; they do not copy their +. A +12 minor contributes 104,680 points, which does not guarantee +12 on the main item. To transfer a higher + directly, use Move a +n below. A consumed minor is destroyed; its gems, blessing and enchantment are not transferred.
What can be a minor item
- +stones (+1 to +9) work on any item.
- The same kind of item, from +1 to +12: armour with the same armour type, a helmet with the same helmet type, and weapons in separate groups — one-handed, two-handed, bows and backswords.
- A minor item can't be of higher quality than the main item.
- Locked items and Legendary pieces are never used up as minor items.
- The main item must be equipment of level 15 or higher, below +12.
The compose window
Talk to the Wuxing Oven and choose Composing Upgrade; the compose window opens. Put the item to improve in the main slot and a minor item in each of the two minor slots. Both minor items add their points; the reply in your chat shows the new + and the points towards the next one.
The window itself has a few rules of its own, from the original game:
- It needs two minor items, and each must be at least the main item's +. To use smaller stones on a higher item, use Batch Compose below.
- From +5 it asks for gems in the extra slots — two for a weapon, one for other gear. The gems are not used up any more; they stay in your bag.
Batch Compose
Choose Batch Compose worn item at the Wuxing Oven and pick the equipped item. It shows what it would use and the points, then asks before doing anything. Batch Compose takes, lowest first, every:
- +stone in your bag, from +1 to +9, and
- +1 to +8 item of the same kind that has no gems, blessing or enchantment,
until the item reaches +12. Normal Batch Compose excludes gemmed, blessed or enchanted equipment, and never consumes +9 or higher equipment.
Optional: Include special +8 gear... also permits eligible +8 equipment with gems, blessing or enchantment. The Oven lists the items and requires a separate warning confirmation. Consumed equipment and all its gems and bonuses are permanently destroyed, not transferred. Locked, protected and Legendary items remain excluded. Cancel if any listed item is one you want to keep.
Quick Compose
Choose Quick Compose worn item and pick the equipped item. You get a chance at the next level straight away, equal to the points it has stored divided by the points needed — an item halfway there has a 50% chance. Win or lose, its stored points are used up, so it's a gamble: on average you get exactly what the points were worth.
Move a +n — changing class
Changing class doesn't mean composing your gear all over again. Choose Move a +n onto worn item at the Wuxing Oven, pick the worn item that should receive the +, then pick the item in your bag that gives it:
- It must go in the same slot — armour for armour, any weapon for a weapon, a helmet, hat, cap, coronet or earrings for headgear — but it can be for any class.
- Its + must be higher than the worn item's, up to +12.
- The Oven shows the result and asks first. The item giving its + is used up; locked and Legendary items never are.
Example: your Trojan armour is +12 and you've become an Archer. Wear the new archer coat, choose Move a +n, pick the old armour, and the coat is +12.
Past +9
The compose window stops at +9 — the game won't take a +9 item as the main item. From there, use Batch Compose, Quick Compose or Move a +n. From +9 with zero stored points, reaching +12 requires 207,260 points (61,020 + 66,520 + 79,720). One +8 material adds only 29,160 points, so it is not enough even for +9 to +10.
Seeing your progress
The game's item window can't show Composition Points, so the Oven tells you instead: every compose reply in your chat shows the item's + and its points, like “ConquestArmor +5: 120/2160 to +6”, and so do the Batch and Quick Compose screens.
Server announcements
When composing takes an item to +6 or higher, the whole server hears about it — whether you used the compose window, Batch Compose or Quick Compose. From +10 it comes with congratulations: “Congratulations! YourName composed ConquestArmor to +12!”
- Batch Compose announces once, with the item's final +, however many levels it gained.
- Move a +n isn't announced: it moves a + you already had rather than composing a new one.
Where to get +stones
Monsters drop +stones, and the Kill the BEAST reward includes ten +3 Stones. Keep your old gear too: an item of the same kind is as good as a stone of the same +, while direct + transfers use the separate Move a +n option.
